The First
International Calling Card In The Middle East. |
|
|
Interkey Service :
GRC is the
first company in Kuwait to start up a pre-paid international
calling service. Interkey prepaid cards offer a convenient
method to make international calls from telephones that have only
local dialing facility. Interkey cards are so popular in Kuwait
that the name ‘Interkey’ became a synonym for prepaid calling
cards. Now, apart from Kuwait, the presence of Interkey service
can be felt in other middle-east countries and Europe.
Established in 1993, Interkey service captured
the market in no time and still leads the show in a very
competitive market. From prepaid disposable cards, Interkey had
moved on to rechargeable cards, multinational cards and then
later on to pre-paid services through banks as well.
The consumers for various reasons prefer Interkey
service. First of all, it is very simple to use. Secondly,
because of the high success rate and accurate billing. The cards
are easily available all over Kuwait in convenient denominations.
Our 24 hours customer service is another point to be mentioned.
The various services offered by Interkey are
accessed through access telephone numbers assigned for each
services. The automated voice response system delivers the
messages in various languages (viz. Arabic, English, Urdu,
Farsi) from which the user can choose the preferred one. Step by
step simple instructions are given to choose the language, enter
the unique card account number and enter the international
telephone number. Further instructions are given if needed to
re-dial or dial another number etc. As mentioned earlier Interkey service offers
mainly 4 types of services. Disposable calling cards,
Rechargeable Gold card, Multinational calling card, and calling
through banks.

Disposable cards :
Disposable cards are available in denominations of 1,2,3,5
and 10 KD. They are available all over Kuwait in most
Grocery stores, Co-operatives, Department stores etc. Also
automatic vending machines are placed in key locations.
To make calls, dial the access number 801222.
After the greeting message, the automated voice messaging
system will ask you to select the preferred language and the
to enter the account number as given in the card. The system
verifies the number and reports back the balance remaining
in the card and prompts you to enter the international
telephone number (country code + area code + telephone
number). You will be informed of the call duration and call
gets processed.
If you wish to make another call after the
first one, no need to hang up the phone; instead press the
'*' key on your phone twice. It will get you back to the
voice menu and another call can be placed. And if the number
you dialed is engaged or there is no answer for a long time,
you may press '*' key twice to get back to the voice menu
which will allow you to re-dial the same number or to dial a
new number.
Strict security measures are taken to avoid
misuse and fraudulence. When a card is being used, the
account will be locked so that no one else can use the same
card at the same time. If many attempts are made from a
telephone to hack-in using bogus account numbers, the access
to the service will be blocked from that telephone. There is
a mechanism built in to the service to trap the usage of
stolen or lost cards.
Interkey has a full fledged 24 hour technical
support and customer service desk. The technical support
staff monitors the systems and make sure the smooth
operation of the service.
Consumers can call in to the customer service
in case of any difficulty
in
using the card. The contact number is given at the backside
of the card. A huge database of complete transactions are at
the disposal of the customer service which helps them to
answer customer queries about card usage.
